Robin MacArthur is a writer, musician and mother who lives in a self-built house in Southern Vermont on the land where she was born.

She is the author of HALF WILD: STORIES, (Ecco, August 2016), and the editor of CONTEMPORARY VERMONT FICTION (Green Writers Press, 2014).

She is one half of the musical duo Red Heart the Ticker, alongside her husband, Tyler Gibbons.

She received an MFA in Fiction from
Vermont College of Fine Arts  and a BA from Brown University, and two creation grants from the Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

When not writing, she spends her time prying rocks out of unruly garden soil, picking blackberries and raspberries outside her back door, and traipsing through woods with her big-hearted and half-wild children.
